Ode to Chevron's Chicken on a Stick
Oh crunchy delight !
so crispy, so juicy
so deep fried with love
it’s like you’ve been sent from way up above
So easy to eat, and so quickly consumed
can, though, sit in the stomach like a full blown balloon
Take heed, dear gals, as you inhale this perfection
as, minutes later, it might feel, quite like you’re expecting
A key component to every frosh 15
it’s also rumored to be polio’s alternative vaccine
A no finer snack can be found after midnight
for locals and students needing assistance to stand upright

That is awesome. Behold the power of meat on a stick.
I have to admit, this was my second favorite thing when I got off work at Q93 (anyone remember when it was still on the Square?) right at midnight, next to a pimento cheese and caffeine-free Diet Coke. All depended on if I planned to stay up or go straight to bed.
Wow, I don’t recall such an attractive sign. I think I was too busy drooling behind the glass barrier.
Had a good friend who stumbled while walking home eating one and took a nasty gash to the neck… He said several times post-accident that it was so good it was worth the war wound!
